1. If you have chatted before and have a username and password, go
to #3.
2. If you do not have a username and password or this is your first
time chatting, click ‘Register’.
a. Enter (type):
i. A Username (choose a chat room name for yourself).
ii. A Password (at least 5 characters long).
iii. Retype Password (the same as the first).
iv. Email (where you can be reached).
b. Click ‘Click here to Login’.
3. Enter your Username and Password.
4. Click ‘Login’.
5. Click on the Chat room under ‘Name’ – This will take you
to join the chat.
(Chat room title (Name) is listed only
when Chat room is open.)
6. At the bottom of the screen there is a line for text.
a. Enter (type) text here and hit ‘Enter’ on your keyboard or
click ‘Send’ on the screen.
b. You may only enter enough text for one line.
c. You may change the color, size and type of your text.
d. You may click on a smiley face to enter it into your ‘Chat’
line if appropriate.
e. Lines will be recorded in order of receipt.
7. When you wish to leave the room, you may close the browser
window or click ‘Logout’ at the top of the screen.
8. The next time you come to the chat, you will log on using the
same username and password you created the first time.
9. You may wish to print these instructions before going onto
the chat address.
