Rituals We Celebrate

We at Dover Place Christian Church understand that planning a wedding can be a beautiful event, but yet we also understand it is stressful trying to get it together. We try to help and accommodate as much as possible here. Most places will charge just for the ceremony location and the rest is up to you. What we offer here is the following:

• Location - Our beautiful old style church is perfect for your special day. The church can accommodate up to 220 people inside the church. We have street parking and optional street parking in front of Woodward Elementary for up to 50 cars. The pastor, Rev. Dr. William Foglesong,  will be the one who will officiate at your ceremony which is included in the package.

• Organist - Our very experienced organist, Dr. Almarie Dieckrow,  will play songs of your choosing for your wedding day. No need to pay extra for a band or a musician. It comes included with the package.

• Premarital counseling - Premarital counseling is a very big role for any engaged couple. It can help with learning how to work better with your partner, issues that may occur, or just things you may not be expecting to happen in the marriage and you want to know some tools of relationship which can help you be more successful.

• Wedding Coordinator - Finding vendors such as photographers and florists can be a hassle! Not to mention if you go and find a coordinator, to hire, the average cost is about $500-$1,000. Why pay extra when we have included a host(ess) with the package to make it more convenient for you. Our coordinator, Julie Barnes, will assist you to making your wedding the one you have dreamed of.

• Optional - We have a set of decorations for the ceremony, if you choose to use them, at no extra cost.
